The Designed Alliance

The Designed Alliance is a workshop to help focus corporate teams on co-creating conscious and intentional relationship. This means developing shared values, best practices, and process around the question: How does the team want to Be together?

• What values are important to us as a team?

• What are our shared definitions of success?

• What do we want our partners to be able to count on us for?

• What resources do we need to perform at our best?

• How do we want to handle it when someone drops the ball?

This last question provides a great example of the benefits of a Designed Alliance session: asking this question ahead of time (i.e. before a mistake happens) allows everyone to respond with their best intentions. This creates good will, identifies best practices, and clarifies priorities for dealing with difficult situations when they occur.

For corporate teams, we have several tools to help you create more conscious relationship: an online Team Diagnostic quantitative, and exercises to facilitate discussion around values, best practices, and defining success.

Designed Alliance workshops are typically one or two-day events, with some prep work before the session. We discuss where the relationship is now, and what opportunities can be identified for improving the experience & process of working together, opening lines of communication, and clarifying expectations & commitments.
